THE ANIMAL + ART EXPERIENCE
BOOK A DAY TOUR!
Welcome to Kaleidoscope Desert, a one-of-a-kind animal and art sanctuary just outside of Joshua Tree.
Join us at our magical desert artscape for a guided tour through the entire grounds, where you’ll meet free-roaming animals including a Zebra, Emus, Mini Cows, Mini Horses, Peacocks, a Tortoise, Dogs, Cats, Turkeys, Pigs, Chickens, Guinea Fowl, Guinea Pigs, and so many more!
The tour culminates in the back pen, where you’ll have the chance to cuddle (almost) any of the animals you’d like!
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — 100% of proceeds support the rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong care of these animals, providing them a safe and loving home.
Please note: Our sanctuary is open to visitors ages 16 and older.

Yes, we do! For groups larger than six, please email us, and we’ll provide information on availability.
-
Always bring water when you’re in the desert, and wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty—you never know when a goat might decide to nibble on your pants! 🙂
-
All our animals are accustomed to being around people. We do recommend moving slowly and carefully around them—they respond best when you are calm, as it helps them feel safe.
The emus are endlessly curious and may examine—or even peck at—any shiny objects you're wearing. Don’t worry; it's all in good fun and completely harmless. If you have any concerns, please let us know—we’re happy to help!
