Cosmology

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, separating light from darkness and forming the land and sea. From the soil, God brought forth every living creature, each carrying a divine purpose. But humanity held a unique place in creation: a being formed in the image of God, gifted with free will and the ability to seek communion with the Divine.

In this cosmology, humanity’s journey is a sacred path of learning, exploration, and communion, where the Divine Gateways are gifts to aid humanity in seeking unity with the Source. Through reverence, humility, and mindful use, these plants open the soul to understanding God’s love, wisdom, and purpose.

Core Tenets of the Faith

  1. Unity of Divine Revelation: God has appeared to humanity in various forms across history, manifesting wisdom and love through different teachers. Figures from many religions, such as Jesus, Moses, and Buddha, are acknowledged as expressions of Divine love and truth, guiding humanity toward enlightenment and compassion.

  2. Sacred Creation: All of creation is holy and intentional, including each individual’s unique identity. This principle affirms the intrinsic worth and purpose of every person, including those with same-sex attraction, who are recognized as part of God’s divine design.

  3. Personal Experience of the Divine: Every follower is encouraged to experience God directly, through the use of prayer, meditation, and, where appropriate, the Divine Gateways. This personal experience takes precedence over dogma, emphasizing inner wisdom and revelation.

  4. Love and Compassion as Spiritual Law: The foundation of all spiritual practice is to love one another. Service, kindness, and compassion are the pillars of a life aligned with God, reflecting divine love back into the world.

  5. Sacred Cycles and Festivals: The faith honors cycles within nature, the seasons, and stages of life. Festivals are held to celebrate the cycles of growth, harvest, and renewal, allowing members to align their lives with the rhythms of creation.

Weekly Meeting Schedule

Location: Kaleidoscope Desert, Community Center

  • Sunday: Morning Meditation and Communal Prayer – Reflection on the week’s challenges and blessings, group meditation, and a discussion on a sacred text.

  • Tuesday: Sacred Studies – A study circle where members explore ancient texts, including the Torah, the teachings of Jesus, and other religious scriptures, to find universal truths.

  • Saturday: Community Service and Sharing Circle – Members gather to volunteer in a community project, followed by a sharing circle where people can discuss personal experiences, insights, and challenges in a supportive environment.

Syllabus for Teaching Core Tenets

Each day, believers are invited to spend a few moments in meditation or prayer, connecting with their inner spirit and setting intentions for kindness. When faced with difficult choices, they are taught to seek wisdom from their direct communion with God or the insights gained through Divine Gateways. They are encouraged to approach the world with reverence, knowing that God’s essence lives within each being and every element of creation.

The Kaleidoscope Faith Community is a Christian denomination that celebrates the teachings of the Judeo-Christian tradition while embracing the wisdom found in other spiritual paths. We believe in a Creator whose love is revealed in many forms, inviting us into a personal and direct relationship with the Divine.

Our community gathers weekly at Kaleidoscope Desert, a sacred place of worship and fellowship, where we experience God’s presence through prayer, meditation, and study. Our services reflect core values of compassion, humility, and wisdom, and, in a sacred setting, may incorporate Divine Gateway ceremonies. These are approached with deep respect, intention, and gratitude for God’s presence. Through our shared worship, we support each other’s journeys and build a community that reflects God’s love.
